My baby is quickly turning into a little boy, and he is so full of energy these days. While he isn't quite walking yet, he is now climbing up on things, and he is cruising around pretty easily using every piece of furniture in sight to support him. When I walk with him, holding onto his hands, he thinks it is pretty funny. I know it won't be long until he takes his first steps on his own, and then I am sure he will take off running. We will certainly have our hands full then!
As his personality blossoms more and more, we are realizing that we also have a little comedian in the house. He is very amused by himself and loves to make us laugh. His laughter can be quite contagious.
Every day, he helps me to see just how smart he already is. For example, I made an attempt at teaching him that my coffee mug is hot. I didn't really think that he understood, until the other day, I had an empty mug, and I noticed that he was touching it very carefully and briefly so that it wouldn't hurt his fingers...until he figured out that it wasn't hot, and then he just grabbed it with both hands.
In just one more short month, we will be celebrating his birthday with our immediate families this year. We want to raise him to enjoy his special day but not to expect a big party every year including everyone we know. We will celebrate his life and how much he has grown this past year.
Below are some of the most recent photos I have taken. They are proof that he has matured a lot in the past few months as he moves into the toddler stage.
