Adventures Coming Soon

So, here it is May, and I realize that my last post was just after the first of the year. While we have been in the same place doing primarily the same things since then, there are elements of our lives that continually change with a developing toddler in the house. Ethan talks so much these days, and we are constantly amused by some of the things he comes up with. The downside of the whole language development process is that you quickly enter the stage of your child talking back to you and expressing great discontent with what you want him to do.

We are looking forward to spending the second half of the month visiting with our families in Oregon, so I will be posting more about those adventures soon. This will be Ethan's first experience on an airplane, and he is excited. We have been using a chart that I made for him to count down the days until our departure. We just started talking to him about the trip last week, and while that was all he could think about the first couple of days (I am not sure how many times he asked to please go to the airport and ride on the airplane to see Grandma and Grandpa and Papa), he seemed to pick up on the concept relatively quickly. Today, he told my dad on the phone that we had one more box to color on his chart before we come to see them.

So, here is to safe traveling and lots of good, quality time with family, most of them anyway.
