Holiday Season Update Part 2

It seems like we are just getting settled back down into our routine following a busy holiday season. This year, we felt that it was important to start our own traditions as a family and made the decision not to travel but to spend the time at home. Christmas day was just the three of us, which was nice and relaxing. Ethan got the Little People Zoo this year and was excited to see new toys when we he woke up early Christmas morning (5:30 a.m.).

The following day, my parents arrived for a visit, and my brother and sister-in-law came down from Portland to have the Skinner Family Christmas that afternoon/evening. My parents were in town from Wednesday to Saturday, so they got to spend a little more time with Ethan than many of their visits. They often are only through overnight as my dad travels a lot for work. We made a trip to the Oregon Zoo to see the zoolights before the end of the season. Our take...worth seeing once but not something we are going make a yearly tradition.

On Saturday, Tim's side of the family came down from the Portland area for the afternoon for the Lewis Family Christmas. Yep, we managed to host both sides of the family and maintain a relatively clean house and avoid completely losing our sanity. Tim had over a week off from work, so that helped me out a lot, but with all the company, it seemed that his vacation flew by.

We were able to squeeze in a few days at the end to just be home together, but on the last day, Ethan started running a relatively high fever and suddenly didn't want to eat. He simply wanted to cuddle with Mommy and slept a lot. Now it appears that we are working on 2 more teeth, possibly 4. Someday we may have normal sleep nights again, but not for now.

Here are some pictures that captured at least part of our holiday time.
